After a few weeks of adventures and experiences that I never thought I'd go through, I'm FINALLY updating this thing. I've been so so so busy working and playing. Who knew there was life outside of blogging? haha
From there we headed to Lake Powell, August 14-22. It was one of the most eventful vacations i've ever had. The week started off a bit "rocky" when we were involved in a little accident in George's 42' racing powerboat (The Donzilla). We hit a rock in the middle of Lake Powell, which caused major damage to the boat, a few people, and my desire to ever get on that boat again. Both propellers and drives were shredded off the boat, so we were officially stranded. George's assistant, Scott, hit his head on impact, which resulted in a trip to the hospital for 8 stitches and Scott's wife, Michelle, was black and blue nearly everywhere on her body. I came out with a scrape on my shoulder and upper back pains that went away the next week.
We are all very very lucky to walk away from that accident with our limbs and brains.
The show must go on, so we still partied.
And to top it all off, they let me drive home to Orem with my friends on Monday. I surprised my family and spent the last week in August with them.
This past weekend was exciting, because G3 turned 2 years old!
Thursday, Sept. 8: Aquarium
Fun day with the fish, even though it was Free Senior Day and we were constantly surrounded by dentures and walkers. Gotta love our elders...
Within 3 1/2 hours, we slayed Disneyland. Made it to every single ride that we wanted to ride with the help of Disneyland Wait Times on my smartypants phone. G3 loved seeing Mickey.
Shannon put together a fabulous party and G3 loved every second spent with the cousins and family that came to see him.
Sunday, Sept. 11: Last present
G3 had SOO many birthday presents that we had to spread them out through 3 days. He finally opened his last one. Time to fill the donation box with all the old toys!
August
The first half of this month was spent in the heat of Lake Havasu City, AZ. This place is dreadfully hot. If you're outside, you're in the water. But, even than you can't be outside very long. The air is 110 degrees, the water is 100 degrees, and your brain feels like 500 degrees. Thank goodness for air conditioning! From there we headed to Lake Powell, August 14-22. Pirate Day
Poor G3 got a hot-red diaper rash. Poor little guy.
Friday came along and 3 of my best friends (Kylie, Taylor, and Katie) showed up to celebrate my birthday with me! I had no idea that Shannon and George were planning any of this and it was all happening right under my nose.Me, Kylie, Katie, and Taylor
Disco Night
That night they surprised me, yet again, with my one birthday wish... a VITAMIX! I was completely caught off guard. They definitely spoiled me.And to top it all off, they let me drive home to Orem with my friends on Monday. I surprised my family and spent the last week in August with them.
The view from the car.
My mom also surprised me with some shoes that speak for themselves (tune in next week to see a picture) and I could not asked for anything that better describes me. I'm always so happy when I'm at home:)September
So far this month I've been with G3 every single day and used my Vitamix in some way every single day. I love it so much. It is absolutely amazing. I will be sharing some of my favorite recipes and hopefully it will convince you that you must own one as well. This past weekend was exciting, because G3 turned 2 years old!

Remember...
I have to make one last comment about yesterday being the 10 year mark of the 9/11 World Trade Center's terrorist attacks. Peace be with the families of any victims and God bless America.
